Psalm 139:14
“I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful, I know that full well.”

Our name, “IseeU”, captures the essence of our philosophy – that every person is uniquely created with intrinsic value and worth.  Often we measure people’s value with reference to where they live, who their parents are, the school they attend, the brand of clothing they wear, the career path they follow, or how much they earn. At IseeU we believe that each individual has value and worth by virtue of the fact that they are a created being, they are human.

Our belief is informed by the ancient Hebrew quote found in Psalm 139 verse 14 – “I am fearfully and wonderfully made”.  A loose translation of the original Hebrew text of the bible, indicates that the word fearfully means: with great reverence, with respect. The word wonderfully means: unique, set apart.

This is what drives us at IseeU: to see each mentee who graduates from our programme regard herself and others with great respect, recognising her own uniqueness and that of others, and believing she is set apart for a purpose.

Our logo – a mirror reflecting “IseeU”, reminds us that our purpose is to highlight and reflect our mentees’ unique value and worth so that in time they will see this for themselves. Our role is to help them see that they have a purpose in life. The desired outcome of our input is a determined effort by our mentees to pursue this purpose.

There is much to be done, but the potential return on investment is immense.  We look forward to seeing each mentee’s unique story unfold. In the words of Humphrey Bogart, “Here’s looking at you, kid”.
